I love that this is not that weird of a thing to see on the sidewalk in this town.
Abraham Lincoln (being portrayed by actor Billy Campbell, star of such films as “The Rocketeer” and “Bram Stoker’s Dracula”) was spotted sitting outside Lift Coffee Shop on Broad Street, a block or two west of the BizSense world headquarters. Note Honest Abe’s lime green phone.
Campbell is playing Lincoln in the latest film about the nation’s 16th president, “Killing Lincoln.”
The film is based on the Bill O’Reilly book “Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever.”
The movie’s crew is shooting at the November Theatre (formerly Theatre IV), which is doubling as Ford’s Theater.
This is the second time in less than a year that Lincoln has graced Richmond with his presence. Steven Spielberg’s film “Lincoln,” starring Daniel Day-Lewis, was shot in the area last year. That film is set for release this year.
