  4. Call me

    rhubarbpiepress:

Beware ex boyfriends, I love how this book turned out. Here is Call Me Necronomiclown in its entirety. In physical form the comic is a single sheet, ink jet printed on loose leaf. Available on etsy, where I printed a love poem from Joey on the reverse.

No offense to Joey (or to Ian, Mandy’s husband, who’s also very talented), but Mandy and I are soulmates.  This comic is partly why.

Here are some lovelies I’ve been hoarding…

Churchy!  Not quite sure why I don’t own this one.  Via Haute Macabre.

You know I can’t resist drapey things, and the 1880s is one of my favorite eras for dresses.  Via Jane Austen Today.

Is it Halloween yet?  Via Haute Macabre.

  8. Thought this would be a good day to reblog this old-ish post from my friend Deanna, since I left the house with six different shades of black on today (counting my hair).

    dddoesdrawing:

A quote overheard in my class this week.  I can’t think of any students at my school who would be considered “goth.”  My students talk about them like they’re some sort of mystical creatures.  It’s really funny to just sit there and eavesdrop on their hilarious conversations.  Another gem from this conversation about “goths” goes like this: ”They aren’t evil, they just express themselves.”  Too funny!

*I know Tess will appreciate that if my students ever met her, I am sure they would think “she be lookin’ fresh.”
